The Art of Follow-up

Following up with your new prospects can be an overwhelming task.
It's a common problem, one that is easily remedied.
Follow-up does not need to be difficult. You do not need to be an
award winning author to write effective follow-up emails.
Let me ask you .. when you write to your new contacts, what is
your goal? Is it to have them join your business?
I suggest you NOT promote your business to a new contact; but rather,
urge them to 'connect' with you. Once you connect with a new contact,
you have a better opportunity to introduce them to your business.
Connecting offers you the opportunity to get to know your contact
- do you even want to work with this person? Believe it or not,
this is an important question to ask.
My goal, when I write follow-up emails, is always to get my reader
to reply or add me to messenger.
Have you considered the benefits of adding your new contacts to
messenger? What a great place to meet and connect - get to know
each other.
After all ... if you know the person you are inviting to join your business,
you have a better chance of finding someone who will be committed to
success. That IS what you are looking for, right?
Here is a simple follow-up that you can edit and use for any contacts,
that cross your desk:

This email can be adapted to send to FFA lists, safelists or any
list you have in your control. Be sure to adhere to current spam
laws.
You will be surprised at how many individuals will contact you ..
your business will soon begin to blossom.
Keep your follow-ups simple, to the point and above all ... stay
away from Hype and empty promises.
Be real with your contacts, be sincere and show them the value
you have to offer. Work to build trust with your contacts.
Share valuable resources, articles and information that will help
them succeed .. in time they will come to trust you ... and trust
is what it's all about! If they trust you ... they are more
likely to join with you.
